Long Life Clinic was founded in 1991 by Dr. Jean Garant Mendoza, a French physician of Canadian origin trained at the University of Malaga, with a clinical focus on understanding the root causes of health problems rather than only managing symptoms.
Since then, the clinic has focused on preventive, endocrine, and longevity medicine for patients on the Costa del Sol and the wider international community.

How much does a consultation cost?
Initial consultations with Dr. Garant range from €150-200 depending on complexity. This includes a thorough review of your health history and personalized recommendations. Blood panel costs vary depending on the tests needed (from €200 for basic to €600+ for comprehensive panels).
Do you accept health insurance?
We are a private clinic and most services are paid directly. However, we provide detailed invoices that many international insurance plans will reimburse. We recommend checking with your provider before your visit.
Do I need to fast before blood tests?
Yes, for most comprehensive blood panels we recommend a 10-12 hour fast (water is fine). We typically schedule blood draws in the morning for this reason. If you're only coming for a consultation, no fasting is needed.
Can I do consultations remotely / online?
Follow-up consultations can often be done via video call. However, initial consultations and blood work require an in-person visit. For patients outside Marbella, we can arrange home test kits (like DUTCH) that are mailed to you.
How long until I see results from treatment?
Most patients report feeling improvements in energy and mental clarity within 4-6 weeks of starting treatment. However, optimizing hormone levels and seeing changes in biomarkers typically takes 3-6 months. We monitor your progress with regular blood work.
Is physiological hormone therapy safe?
physiological hormone therapy are chemically identical to those your body produces naturally. When properly prescribed and monitored (as we do with regular blood work), they are considered safe for most patients. Dr. Garant will discuss your individual risk factors and monitor your levels closely.
What's the difference between your clinic and a regular GP?
Traditional medicine often waits until disease develops to treat. We focus on prevention and optimization - analyzing 100+ biomarkers to catch imbalances early and optimize your health before problems arise. We also spend significantly more time with each patient (45-60 min vs typical 10 min GP visits).
